JAY Z snags another Star: CC Sabathia

New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia has signed with Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports, the agency announced Thursday.

"Roc Nation Sports is excited to welcome CC Sabathia to the family!" the agency touted in a simple statement posted on its website underneath a photo of Sabathia and Jay Z apparently signing contracts.

Sabathia joins former teammate Robinson Cano of the Seattle Mariners at Roc Nation Sports, as well as Oklahoma City All-Star forward Kevin Durant, New York Giants receiver Victor Cruz and New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith.

The 33-year-old left-hander is under contract through 2016 at $23 million a season, and the Yankees have an option for 2017 at $25 million. Sabathia can be bought out in 2017 for $5 million.

Sabathia, who went 14-13 with a career-high 4.78 earned-run average last season, acknowledged the signing on Twitter with the same photo as shown on the Roc Nation Sports site.

The founder of Yeezianity says that Kanye West "is the most honest person in our culture."

A group of people have formed a movement inspired by Kanye West that they’re calling Yeezianity, accordingyeezianity.com. The people have chosen to remain anonymous at this point. On their site, they said that they believe "that the one who calls himself Yeezus is a divine being who has been sent by God to usher in a New Age of humanity.”

"In a lot of ways, after I created it, I reflected on it and thought that this was just a rehashing of Christianity, but just throwing Yeezus instead of Jesus,” the anonymous founder of Yeezianity says in an interview with noisey.vice.com. "And you know what? That's why I felt Kanye did it. He just put the name there. Jesus has all this baggage and all these connotations, andYeezus is this new thing—and that's why I say in the 'Our Savior' part of the site, 'We don't speak of his public persona.' Because Yeezus is when Kanye elevates to that God-level, which I feel like we all have the potential to do. That's why if it takes off, in the future, people would forget Kanye and his antics, and instead focus on what the message is."

The “5 Pillars” of Yeezianity are: "1. All things created must be for the good of all; 2. No human being’s right to express themselves must ever be repressed; 3. Money is unnecessary except as a means of exchange; 4. Man possesses the power to create everything he wants and needs; 5. All human suffering exists to stimulate the creative powers of Man."

The founder says he holds Kanye West in high regard. “He is the most honest person in our culture,” the founder says during the noisy.vice.com interview. "He has the highest moral standards and highest integrity. He is the most creative person. And as it's typical with creative people, he gets a lot of flack from the lower minded masses. It's not even that they don't like him, it's that they don't know what he's doing because the press gives it this negative spin all the time."

Ciara Has One In The Oven (KING BLAINE)

The R&B singer showed her baby bump Tuesday onThe View. Ciara is engaged to rapper-singer-producer Future.

A representative for the singer confirmed the pregnancy.

Ciara, 28, and Future, 30, have been dating for a year. A wedding date hasn't been set.

Ciara's hits include Goodies, 1, 2 Step and Body Party. The Grammy winner released her self-titled fifth album last year. It features production work from Future, who has also worked with Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.

JAY Z signs fan at his concert (-_-) ....

 A female fan who was pulled up onstage during a Jay-Z concert could allegedly land a record deal with the music mogul.
Monique Burrell, 19, told TMZ that after her performance with the rapper during his Magna Carta Holy Grail Word Tour in Chicago on Thursday, the head of his security detail asked the teenager for her number, claiming Jay-Z had sent him.
According to the website, the 44-year-old star hasn't called, but it is apparently unusual for him to ask for the number of fans that he brings onstage.

Jay Z asked Monique - whose rap name is MoBoTheGreat - to perform at the United Center after he saw her holding a sign saying, 'When I was 16 I rapped on this stage with you. I’m 19 now and I’m ready.'

The sign referenced a previous occasion when the aspiring singer rapped with Jay-Z.

In a video filmed by an audience member, Monique - whose rap name is MoBoTheGreat - is seen getting up onstage and confidently telling Jay Z she hopes to secure a record deal.

'You gotta be quiet so I can rap for him. I’m trying to get signed tonight and s**t,' she told the audience before starting to rap.

After her performance, Jay Z appeared impressed.

'You just told your whole entire life story, huh?' he said, referring to her rap. 'I would’ve done the same s**t. F**k that. It might not happen again.'

A security guard approached her after the show and asked for her number saying HOV requested it. Heres a HOV dedication.

Macklemore wants Kendrick Lamar To Win Hip Hop Grammy (King Blaine)

With the Grammy Awards less than a month away, Macklemore is already casting his verbal ballot for the Best Rap Album trophy, and he doesn't think he should take the award home. 

In his cover story for The Source magazine's "Man of the Year" issue out next week, the Seattle-bred rapper — up for seven awards with music partner Ryan Lewis — praises Kendrick Lamar's good kid m.a.a.d city as the Best Rap Album victor in his book. "We're up against Kendrick, who made a phenomenal album. If we win a Grammy for Best Rap Album, hip hop is going to be heated," Macklemore told Source Editor-in-Chief Kim Osorio. "In terms of [that category], I think it should go to Kendrick. I think it should go to Kendrick."

Apparently he and Lamar are closer than the public may realize. "He's family," Mack added. "TDE is family, and I understand why hip hop would feel like Kendrick got robbed [if he didn't win]."

Macklemore and Lewis's The Heist debut sold more than 1.2 million copies as of this month and earned them the same number of Grammy nods as Lamar, Justin Timberlake and Pharrell. Though the rap duo took home the Best Rap/Hip Hop album at the American Music Awards in November and a similar trophy during MTV's VMAs, Mack still doesn't believe the Grammy is his. "I'm not trying to compare albums, I think you can make an argument for both," he explained. "With that being said, I am a huge supporter of what Kendrick does. And because of that, I would love to win in a different category. We obviously had massive success on commercial radio, and I think that, in ways, The Heist was a bigger album, but Kendrick has a better rap album."

Speaking directly to critics who have taken issue with his and Ryan Lewis's pop-friendly rap tunes like "Thrift Shop," the rapper anticipates if he does win, the backlash will be real. "People are going to be skeptical. I'm a white dude from Seattle," he continued. "People are rightfully skeptical of white people making hip-hop. They're gonna say, 'Let me hear him rap. Let me hear an interview.' Before we sold a million copies of the album, when it was just 'Thrift Shop,' before it became massive, they were putting us in a box."

He blames the single. "The song almost got too big," he admitted. "People weren't able to see the rest of the album for what it was. They put us in the one-hit wonder box. And they didn't give the rest of the project room to live. People didn't do their research. If you strip away the Kidz Bop remake and it getting played on every radio station, the very core of 'Thrift Shop' is a hip-hop song. I'm rapping. I'm rapping, well. I'm spitting. The one-bar loop. The 808s. It was one of the more hip-hop-sounding songs on the album. It turned into something so big that the origin almost got lost. And because of that, it distracted people from the album and the content that was there."

Macklemore has wrestled with hip hop's love, or lack thereof, in the past. During a Rolling Stone interview he theorized that "Thrift Shop" wouldn't have even been successful were it not for his skin color.

Nonetheless, "music's biggest night" is anybody's game at this point. Jay Z leads the nominee list with nine nods, including Best Rap Album for Magna Carta Holy Grail. Also in the same category are Kanye West's Yeezus and Drake's Nothing Was the Same, making the competition for Grammy gold that much stiffer.

The 56th annual Grammy awards air Jan. 26.

Kanye Might Be In Trouble: Punches Teen Racist (KING BlAINE)

Short-fused singer Kanye West reportedly punched a man for bad-mouthing his baby mama in Beverly Hills Monday.

The hip hop mogul lost his cool and turned violent after an 18-year-old used the N-word and other inappropriate language while holding a door open for Kim Kardashian, according to celebrity website TMZ.com.
The unidentified teen first dropped the F-word and N-word while referring to a group of paparazzi hot on Kardashian’s tail, TMZ said.
When the reality TV temptress told the man he shouldn’t use the N-word in that context, the man reportedly began screaming at her.


"F--k you b---h. Just trying to help you. Shut up n----r lover, stupid slut,” he reportedly replied.

Kardashian, who’s now engaged to West, reportedly watched the guy walk into a chiropractor’s office and later entered with her famous fiancé for a confrontation.
West punched the guy as Kardashian screamed, "We have it all on tape," witnesses told TMZ.
A massage therapist in the office had to separate the two men.
Beverly Hills Police officers were called to the scene but did not encounter West, cops confirmed Monday.
“Kanye was named as a suspect by the victim as well as witnesses. He had left prior to our arrival, and detectives are currently investigating,” Beverly Hills Police Sgt. George DeMarois told the Daily News.
He said the call for the alleged misdemeanor battery came in at 12:15 p.m.

Kevin Hart Jokes...Mostly about HIMSELF (KING BLAINE)

Sure, you can call Kevin Hart short — he stands a compact 5-foot-4 — but you’d better have a clever way of stating it.

“At the end of the day, s  -  –  t gets old,” Hart, 34, tells The Post, laughing. “But when people aren’t that creative, they go for the one thing that they can . . . there’s nothing you can say about me I haven’t said about myself.”

The stand-up comedian and actor has made a career of making fun of himself, his stature certainly included. That continues this Friday in his new buddy-cop flick, “Ride Along,” in which he stars as a wannabe LAPD officer tagging along for the day with his would-be brother-in-law (Ice Cube) in an attempt to prove he’s man enough to marry the latter’s sister (Tika Sumpter). The comedy is classic Hart — he emasculates himself in scene after scene, such as when Cube’s character surprises him and he responds by screeching and knocking himself out.
Hart was born and raised in Philadelphia by his single mother. His father, a cocaine addict, was less of a presence, though the two now have a better relationship. After community college and a stint as a shoe salesman, Hart finally found his footing in stand-up. He now has two children, whom he co-parents with his ex-wife, fellow comic Torrei Hart. He’s dating model Eniko Parrish.
All of that is fair game for his act. He regularly talks about his divorce, his father’s drug abuse and, after he was busted on a DUI charge in April, he joked about it on Twitter.
“If it happens in my life, I’m going to address it,” he says now.

That authenticity has made Hart one of comedy’s brightest rising stars. In addition to “Ride Along” and his BET TV show “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” he’ll show up in the “About Last Night” remake on Valentine’s Day and two more movies come summer. He’s also producing a sitcom pilot for ABC based on his life after divorce.
But just because Hollywood is calling his name doesn’t mean Hart’s abandoning the mike.
“Stand-up is my baby,” he says. “Not continuing to do stand-up comedy, I feel like [would be] me turning my back on who made me.”

Teddy Bridgewater & ClowneyTop NFL prospect Signs to RocNation???? (KING BLAINE)

According to reports Louisville Cardinals player Teddy Bridgewater is seriously considering signing with Roc Nation Sports. Sources told NationalFootballPost.com that the Jay Z headed agency is in talks with the junior quarterback. 

This would be another big win for JAY Z as an agent who has already signed top athletes like  Robinson Cano, Kevin Durant, Geno Smith, and Skylar Diggins to name a few.

Also The RocNation site is reporting that other NFL prospects South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley have also shown great interest in signing with Roc Nation if they choose to forgo school and turn pro this year.

 Bridgewater is entering the NFL 2014 draft and is expected to be one of the top picks in this year’s draft class. The Miami native finished his college career with 9,817 passing yards and 72 touchdowns.

Beyonce Thinks Gender Equality is a MYTH!!!!!!! (King Blaine)

As a member of Destiny's Child, Beyonce once asked her man, "Can you pay my bills?" but now Queen Bey is posing that question to society at large.

In a recent essay titled "Gender Equality Is A Myth" featured in Maria Shriver's new The Shriver Report: A Woman's Nation Pushes Back from the Brink, Beyoncé puts forth a plea to both women and men, asking for equality in the workforce.

"We need to stop buying into the myth about gender equality," Bey writes. "It isn't a reality yet. Today, women make up half of the U.S. workforce, but the average working woman earns only 77 percent of what the average working man makes. But unless women and men both say this is unacceptable, things will not change."

This feminist proclamation comes as no surprise given Bey's recent self-titled album release, which features feminist writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie on the track "***Flawless" proclaiming: "We teach girls to shrink themselves, to make themselves smaller. We say to girls: 'You can have ambition, but not too much. You should aim to be successful, but not too successful. Otherwise, you will threaten the man."

Bey echoes Adichie's statement later in her essay, saying: "Humanity requires both men and women, and we are equally important and need one another. So why are we viewed as less than equal? These old attitudes are drilled into us from the very beginning. We have to teach our boys the rules of equality and respect, so that as they grow up, gender equality becomes a natural way of life. And we have to teach our girls that they can reach as high as humanly possible.

Beyoncé's relationship with feminism has been both praised — byGrimes and Bikini Kill's Kathleen Hanna in particular — and critiqued by all manner of pundits this year and last. While her "girls, we run this mutha" mantra has earned her some thumbs-ups, her scantily clad physique in the videos for Beyonce have elicited the opposite reaction.

"We don't often see women in bodysuits writhing around on cars except when — I don't know, it's Maxim magazine, so it does feel like a performance for the benefit of men," Jezebel's Anna Holmes told NPR of Bey's new visual album.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Plank, executive social editor at PolicyMic, told MTV News: "Empowerment doesn't come from the appropriation of other women's bodies, it comes from the ownership over your own sexuality. Beyoncé singing an ode to the cunnilingus did that."
