CAM’RON & JUELZ SANTANA JOIN FORCES FOR A NEW BANGER, “OH YEAH”

In the early 2000’s, the pairing of Cam’ron and Juelz Santana was one of the most dangerous one-two punches in rap. Though they were just a portion of a larger sum, the once-dominant Diplomats gauntlet, Cam and Juelz teamed up for several classic records and hits, including two Billboard Hot 100 top 5 hits in 2002, and dozens more that can be recited verbatim by even the casual rap fan.

Since their heyday, their relationship has been called into question several times–even by their peers–but in recent years lingering tension has subsided and the two rappers have begun collaborating again. In 2014, they teamed up for what was hailed as another Dipset comeback, “Dipsh*ts,” and Cam, Juelz and the third primary member of the group, Jim Jones, joined forces for a marquee performance at the Barclays Center as part of our inaugural Source360 weekend.

In 2016, Cam and Juelz are back at it again with a new release, “Oh Yeah.” If you think it could potentially be reminiscent of their 2002 hit “Oh Boy,” you’re right, as Cam leads the way and Juelz brings in the rear over a soul sample that wails “Oh yeah” through the chorus and verses. Listen to it below.

Space Jam 2 Confirmed : Lebron or Curry tho?!

Space Jam is finally getting a sequel. Justin Lin (Fast & Furious, Star Trek Beyond) will direct the long-awaited second Jam entry starring LeBron James, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The script is currently being penned by Andrew Dodge, most known for his work on the underrated Jason Bateman comedy Bad Words.

The Space Jam 2 rumors have (understandably) been relentless since the 1996 original captured the hearts of an entire generation. When James and his own SpringHill Entertainment inked a deal with Warner Bros. last July, those rumors promptly kicked into overdrive. A Space Jam sequel starring LeBron James, we can now say with confidence, actually isn't too good to be true.

The original Michael Jordan-starring Jam, according to figures from Box Office Mojo, bagged more than $230 million at the global box office. Though a sequel to a hit of that size would seem like a guarantee, the past twenty years' noticeable lack of a Space Jam 2 sadly proves otherwise. Given the current embrace of 90s nostalgia, 2016 seems like a slam dunk of a year to finally get this sequel in motion.

As this as-confirmed-as-it-gets sequel is still "early on in the process," a release date and production schedule have not been confirmed. At any rate, now is definitely the time to get unreasonably stoked. Also, as THR's joyous report sadly omits this key inquiry, we can now collectively theorize on our own about how Bill Murray (and Wayne Knight too!) may somehow return to assist James in another round of intergalactic basketball:

Prince has died at the age of 57

Sad Day Purple Rain

Via Complex

Legendary singer Prince has passed away at the age of 57 at his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota. As of right now, details are scarce, but police reportedly responded to an emergency around 9:30 this morning. TMZ is reporting that Prince's body was found earlier this morning at his residence. The AP has since confirmed Prince's passing.

Last week, Prince was hospitalized after his plane made an emergency landing in Illinois following a show in Atlanta. At the time, his team released a statement that he had been battling the flu, and he was later seen riding his bike around his neighborhood over the weekend. As of now, there's no word on the cause of death, though Prince had to cancel multiple shows recently due to health concerns.

Prince's contributions to the world go far beyond just his music, but his impact on the music world can't be understated in any way. His countless classic albums and songs over the years—1999, Purple Rain, Sign o' the Times and many more—helped shape generations of music forever. The legendary singer brought an unmatched style and enthusiasm to everything he did, which spanned far past just his music. Prince was dominant on the charts over the years, hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart five times throughout his career. During his career, Prince released a whooping 37 studio albums, with the last being HITnRUN Phase One and HITnRUN Phase Two, which were released in 2015. We'll continue to update this story as more details are made available. We've reached out to his reps for comment.

The Neighbors 2 The Funniest/ Hottest Movie of the Summer

The original comedy Neighbors was a rare non-visual effects-filled studio-released summer blockbuster, it ended up being a huge hit when it was released back in 2013. When inexpensive movies make studios huge profits, it usually means that the sequel green light isn’t far off – and the Nicholas Stoller-directed comedy is no different. Now Neighbors 2 is set for release next summer, and it has just been revealed that it has a subtitle which gives us some insight into what the movie will be about: Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. Really, we should have seen this coming.

Production Weekly posted the full title, which seems to sync up with what we’ve learned so far about the sequel currently in production. Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising will revolve around a sorority house moving in next door to the family played by Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne from the first film. When they have trouble dealing with the sorority, they turn to their previous nemesis, played by Zac Efron, for help. We assume shenanigans ensue at this point.

As was confirmed earlier this week, Chloe Moretz has been cast in a major role in the film, and it’s expected that she will be the primary antagonist sorority sister. The female Zac Efron if you will. Moretz was the highlight of the Kick-Ass movies and we know Hit Girl could get pretty vile, so Moretz should feel right at home with the exceptionally vulgar comedy. In fact, we're more than a little curious to see what this plot will have her up to.

Neighbors R rating was one of the reasons its success was so surprising. During the summer movie season, PG-13 is always the ideal rating in order to allow the majority of moviegoers into the theater, but the Nicholas Stoller movie blazed the trail helped formed by titles like The Hangover and Ted. Ultimately, the movie managed to gross $268 million on an $18 million budget – so, again, it’s little surprise a sequel got the go-ahead. That being said, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising will need to provide the same sort of laughs, but without being the same laughs, to be successful – which is arguably a much higher bar.

Of course, that may be the only problem facing the movie. One wonders if the plot of the movie feels too obvious. It would probably be very easy for the production to take the original script, run a "find and replace" and swap out fraternity for sorority, and call it a day. One thing that would be nice would be to see a female-centered story that gives Rose Byrne more time to shine. Critics hailed her as one of the highlights of the original, as she really held her own. Maybe it’s time for Rogen to play second fiddle. That could go a long way to making the movie feel fresh.

Whatever ends up happening, we’ll certainly be checking out Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising when it hits next summer. Chloe Moretz has high bar to clear if she wants to out do Zac Efron’s performance in the original, but if anybody can do it, we have a feeling she can.
