'Avengers 2': Ruffalo Talks Hulk, Black Widow and Ultron

We've already heard rumors that the Marvel Cinematic Universe landscape will be altered forever with Avengers: Age of Ultron, but we likely won't know the extent of this change before the Phase Two sequel arrives in theaters May 1, 2015. Obviously, the villainous Ultron (James Spader) will have a lot to do with what is happening, and we've reported in the past that Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark actually creates Ultron, although his creation turns against him, and the rest of humanity. During a recent interview with Total Film, Mark Ruffalo hinted that his character, Bruce Banner will have a hand in Ultron's creation. While he doesn't outright say that Banner is responsible for Ultron, his comments certainly allude to Banner's role in Ultron coming into power, while confirming that Banner has been living at Stark Tower.

"Banner's been living in Stark Tower. They've been working side by side and Bruce has his own lab now. He's doing work that augments Tony's own, which could lead to an experiment going wrong."

It's worth noting that we've seen the Hulk do battle with the Hulkbuster armor in the first trailer, although it has never been revealed exactly how this massive fight plays into the story. Is it because Banner upset Stark in the lab? Or vice versa? Mark Ruffalo also added that Banner's relationship with Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow will grow throughout the sequel.

"His relationship with Natasha deepens. There's something similar about the two of them. I see them as lost souls. They're kindred in some ways. He does feel more comfortable with himself. His confidence is getting better. But, you know, that gets shaken. His ability to handle the Hulk really gets thrown into question in this film. The hard part is coming back. Hulk doesn't want to cede his place. It's much harder to come back from being Hulk than it is to get into him."

The actor also hints that fans will get to see a much different side to Bruce Banner, as he is engaged in a "battle of identity" between himself and his Green Goliath alter-ego.
"I think there's a whole other chapter we haven't seen yet where you find the other nuances within him. The battle of identity going on between him and Banner is all about establishing dominance. The only thing that Hulk is really afraid of is Banner. That's an interesting dynamic."

Many fans have commented that this sequel looks much darker than its predecessor, 2012's Marvel's The Avengers. Mark Ruffalo revealed that director Joss Whedon still has plenty of "goofy stuff" in store for the fans.

"What Joss is going after is really big. But there's still lots of laughs. There's some goofy stuff. I mean, it's Whedon!"
Avengers: Age of Ultron comes to theaters May 1st, 2015 and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Elizabeth Olsen, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner. The film is directed by Joss Whedon

New Music Video By Quazee Featuring Vice Wolf "Heart"

We have some new music and visuals from Quazee in the form of a track called "Heart". The reason why i'm such an avid supporter for this Harlem artist is because his style, content, beats, and honesty are all in tune with what makes hip hop hip hop.

He is a genuine representative of true hip hop music and a breath of fresh air in a heavily generic and polluted genre of music. Many mainstream artist portray a image and lifestyle that's not their reality but this track by Quazee featuring Vice Wolf ( which has  an awesome second verse by the way ) talks about making moves only if your  Heart is in it. I think not only this track but these two artist are on to something and im looking forward to hearing more music from both of these artist.

Sony Hack Re-ignites Questions about Michael Jackson's Banned Song REPOST

As the Black Lives Matter movement grew in reaction to the lack of indictments in the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, Michael Jackson's 1995 song "They Don't Care About Us" was resurrected at the grass roots level in many cities including Ferguson, New York, and California.

"They Don't Care About Us" was denounced by The New York Times even before its release, and did not reach much of its intended audience because the controversy caused by the New York Times article would go on to overshadow the song itself. Radio stations were reluctant to play it and one of the short films Jackson created for the song was banned in the U.S.
Bernard Weinraub, husband of Sony Pictures Chief Amy Pascal, was the writer of the Times article.

"They Don't Care About Us" was Jackson's statement against abuse of power and the political corruption that enabled it. Two key events inspired the song:

  • In 1992, five white police officers who stood trial in Los Angeles for the videotaped beating of Rodney King were found not guilty by a jury with no African American members. Then, as now, there were riots and protests about longstanding policies of racial profiling and systemic police brutality.
  • The following year, Jackson, who had not been charged with any crime, was forced to undergo a humiliating 25 minute strip search by the same LAPD. The Santa Barbara District Attorney and police detectives arrived at Jackson's home in Los Olivos, California with a photographer who documented his private parts on film.
Black man, blackmail
Throw your brother in jail
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Bernard Weinraub's pre-release story accused Jackson of having "bigoted lyrics" in the song. He described the entire HIStory album as "profane, obscure, angry and filled with rage."
His piece touched off a firestorm of other negative media coverage. The criticism was disingenuous, as the lyrics were taken out of context and Jackson was very clear about his true intention. The critics were overwhelmingly white.

Many of Weinraub's email messages to Pascal were exposed in the Sony hack; one advised her to fire an executive which she promptly did; another stated outright that he had special access and influence with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd.

Pascal was previously Vice President of Columbia Pictures, where Jackson, who wanted to star in films, had a motion picture contract that was never fulfilled. Later she became head of Sony Columbia Pictures. Jackson's recording contract was with Epic, a division of Sony.

Weinraub, who is now a playwright, was a respected New York Times reporter on the Hollywood beat until his relationship with Pascal created a conflict of interest that began to anger the subjects of his articles. Weinraub admitted to as much in his farewell column at the New York Times.

Weinraub's cozy relationships in Hollywood included David Geffen. Geffen had worked closely with Jackson, convincing him to replace his key advisors with ones hand-picked by Geffen, according to Zack O. Greenburg's Michael Jackson, Inc.
When the controversy over "They Don't Care About Us" arose, Jackson asked Geffen for public support, but he would not go on record. Jackson's manager, Geffen's pick Sandy Gallin, refused to speak on television. He fired Gallin and never spoke to either of the men again.

Geffen refused to be interviewed about Jackson for Greenburg's book.

Jackson and Spike Lee made two separate short films for "They Don't Care About Us." "He was not having good relations [with Sony/Epic]...there was friction there," said Spike Lee in a recent interview with Iconic magazine.

The first version, recorded in Brazil, features the Afro-Brazilian drumming group Olodum. If you're familiar with the song, this is the version you've probably seen. Already in production at the time of the controversy, it uses sound effects to obscure the objectionable words.

But the "Prison" version is a tour de force; Jackson had even more to be angry about. Jackson and Lee chose to film in a Long Island jail, said Lee, because "a lot of people in prison shouldn't be there. A lot of people are there for a much longer time too. In American prisons, there are more brown and black people than white."
All Jackson's frustrations seem to be on display in this raw and angry performance. Behold

Jackson would not win though - at least not then: the Prison version was banned from American television.
Jackson would later go on to have a public feud with executives at Sony Music, accusing them of racism. His protests were eyed skeptically by many at the time.
One particularly vicious 1995 Newsday review of this song read in part: "When Michael Jackson sings 'They Don't Care About Us' you've got to wonder who he thinks 'us' is."
The Black Lives Matter protestors don't wonder.
*****************************************************************************
[Updated for clarity 11:16 PM 18 Dec 2014: Weinraub's article specifically mentioned that Jackson used the words "Jew" and "kike" in the song. Weinraub's article did not mentionthat Jackson also used the words "If Roosevelt was living, he wouldn't let this be" thus decontextualizing it. The media coverage left readers thinking that the song was the exact opposite of its intentions. Nevertheless Jackson did not want to offend so he apologized and re-recorded swapping out those two words.]
Jackson was comparing racism against blacks to the racism experienced by Jews in Nazi Germany. He invokes two political figures: Roosevelt who went to war against Germany, and Dr. Martin Luther King who led the civil rights movement. Here are the key lyrics:
If Roosevelt was livin' / he wouldn't let this be, no, no
If Martin Luther was livin'/ he wouldn't let this be, no, no

Rich Homie Quan SPEAKS ON LIL WAYNE & BIRDMAN

When the issues between Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records became public, many speculated that it could be over the fact that Birdman has been investing all of his time into Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug’s ‘Rich Gang’ movement as of late. While Mack Maine, Nicki Minaj and even Birdman have all spoke out on the status of the beef, no one has addressed the elephant in the room that is Rich Gang, but Rich Homie Quan finally has something to say.

Marisa Mendez

Sitting down with Karen Civil’s Civil TV, Rich Homie Quan spoke on the falling out:

As far as the Birdman problems, I seen it. I try not to get into it because stories get flipped and what not, but at the same time, my relationship with Bird is totally different, and that’s all I could really focus on. At the same time, I pray for the situation because we’re all under the Rich Gang umbrella. But as far as that, I would leave the situation alone.

When asked if he feels whether Wayne is upset because of Birdman’s relationship with him and Thugger:

I wouldn’t say that. I wouldn’t say that at all, because I’ve met Wayne, you know what I’m saying? I wouldn’t say that’s the case at all.

Rich Homie Quan also spoke on his recently-leaked song “Tell Me Why” with Drake, his upcoming debut album and more. Check it out in full below.

Artist imagines the Simpsons joining the “I can’t breathe” protests

After months of heightened racial tensions, an artist has created images of the Simpsons joining the protests in memory of those who have died.

In Italian artist AleXsandro Palombo’s series called “I Can’t Breathe,”  the iconic yellow cartoon family is turned black — with Bart Simpson seen experiencing the same tragedies as Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and all the other victims.

Mr Palombo recently told MailOnline:

With this art series I wanted to denounce the current social situation, the unbelievable racial facts of recent times. The images from the suffocation of Eric Garner are horrible, uncivilized. This is a crazy and an unacceptable violence. We are experiencing a dangerous social regression and if America does not react to the rampant racism it will no longer be the country of freedom and dreams, but the country of oppression and injustice.

The images are shocking yet also dishearteningly accurate as Chief Wiggums re-enacts the behavior that several officers in these excessive force cases have been accused of.

You can view the depictions for yourself in the gallery below.

Kendall Jenner Is the Most Popular Model of 2014, According to Tumblr

If you felt like Kendall Jenner was everywhere this year, you're right. Kendall has been named the most popular model of 2014, according to a metric created by Tumblr. The social media platform uses a combination of reblogs, web traffic, and follower growth over time to create its list.

Kendall had a tremendous year, walking in runway shoes for major fashion houses, such as Marc Jacobs, Balmain, Chanel, and Givenchy. She also appeared in spreads for Vogue, the cover of Teen Vogue, and was named the face of Estée Lauder.

Some people have attributed Kendall's success to her famous family, but Kendall has proved she isn't taking the haters too seriously.

Tumblr's top five was rounded out by Cara Delevingne, who recently posed with Kendall for the cover of Love Magazine, Candice Swanepoel, Miranda Kerr, and Kate Moss. Other notable inclusions are the legendary Naomi Campbell at eight, Victoria's Secret Angel Adriana Lima at 10, Joan Smalls at 16, and former A$AP Rocky flame Chanel Iman at 17.

NICKI MINAJ ADDRESSES RELATIONSHIP WITH MEEK MILL

Since her split from Safaree Samuels, the rumor mill has been buzzing about Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill. So are the rappers dating? Nicki spoke out for the first time about their rumored relationship.

During her appearance on Power 106′s “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” on Monday, the “Bed of Lies” rapper acted surprised when Big Boy asked her about the gossip. “You heard that? Is that the new news out?” she asked.

But she shut down reports of a romance. “We’re friends. He’s dope. Shout out to him,” said Nicki.

Meek was in prison for five months, but Nicki did not write him. “The kid is very busy. I wished him well,” she said. “I hated that he was in jail because I thought he was in jail for something ridiculous, but no, I didn’t write him.”

Meek is featured on two tracks off The Pinkprint. He originally thought he would be back in time to appear on “Favorite,” but when he wasn’t, his camp sent Nicki five songs to choose from and she narrowed it down to “Buy a Heart” and “Big Daddy.”

Hear Nicki set the record straight.

SOON AFTER THO...SHE MADE IT OFFICIAL

that she wouldn't be going back to Safaree and that she was single then this started happening...and appearing on INSTAGRAM...Only Time will Tell.

Nicki Minaj Addresses YMCMB Rumors, Jay Z Influence

"The Pinkprint" hits stores tomorrow.

Nicki Minaj's Pinkprint press run continues with a brand new interview with DJ Whoo Kid. In addition to addressing rumors of a rift within YMCMB sparked by Wayne's vocal proclamation that Birdman and CM are holding him hostage, Nicki also detailed her process in the creation of her new album, and much more.

"When you're at the top, there's only one place to aim at," Nicki said in reference to the media's portrayal of the perceived cracking in YMCMB's foundation. "Love conquers all. I do know that, no matter what, we're a family. We're not always the bestest friends, but we love each other underneath it all. I know Wayne and Baby love each other. And I know they're going to resolve anything that needs to be resolved."

Meanwhile, speaking on Jay Z's The Blueprint influence on the project, Nicki expressed that Jay is one of her biggest influences, citing a recent encounter with Hova as one of her proudest moments. "When I saw him this last time in Paris, he told me how much he loved 'Chi-Raq' and 'Lookin Ass Nigga' [...] That's why it's so upsetting to me when people don't give me my credit, when I got the biggest nigga in rap saying 'Chi-Raq,' 'Lookin Ass Nigga.'"
