While SXSW has become a tradition of big names partnering
with big brands for performances, it's nice to know there's still a possibility
for fresh talent to be seen and heard. In between The Fader Fort, a BBQ hosted
by Nas and the keynote speech
by Snoop Dogg, be sure to hit up Hype Machine’s Hype Hotel to discover
these new acts.
Presented by Mazda and Taco Bell, Hype Hotel has a
reputation for showcasing those on the brink of stardom. Last year's line-up
included SZA and Tinashe. Take a look at the dope newcomers making their
Hype Hotel debut in 2015.

The Atlanta rapper/singer was signed to Columbia Records
after the release of just his first mixtape, Indigo Child, back in 2014.
The 18-year-old mixes hip-hop, soul and folk and was recently deemed a MTV

Scotland but is heavy into hip-hop. Mohawke has remixed popular Kanye joints
and has worked with Pusha T, French Montana and Travis $cott. Which rap stars
will he bring out during his set at the Hype Hotel?
Mick Jenkins
The Chi-town upstart is gaining steam thanks to an
impressively metaphorical sophomore mixtape, The Water[s] and co-signs

him this year.
Hailing from the New York area $plitzVille's Y. Rome leads the pack as one of the most talked about artist from the area. Popping up at various events and receiving co-signs from DJ Absolut, & Charles Hamilton, Y.Rome may be on the verge of something special.

their first appearance at Hype Hotel.
