Rapper T.I.
Harris made his acting debut in the smash hit ATL, starring Lauren
London, Jackie Long, and Evan Ross. The 2006 flick gained a cult following and
fans the world over have been wishing for a sequel to the urban love story.
Well guys, those wishes have been granted as T.I. has confirmed that not only
is an ATL 2 on it’s way, but it’s already filming!
The “Whatever You Like” rapper took to Instagram on March 4
with a photo of himself, alongside co-stars Jason Weaver, Jackie Long, and
Albert Daniels seated yet again at the Waffle House. This time, the gang are
dressed ultra-debonaire.
“#ATL2 Get Ready,” Tip captioned the photo. In a follow-up
pic, T.I. posed with on-screen love interest Lauren London (of The Game),
writing,
“Shad&New-New #ATL2 #KeepWatching.”
Taking Tip’s lead, other members of the cast including Evan
and Jackie took to their respective Instagram accounts to break the news of the
upcoming sequel.
“#ATL2. Me and @jackielong,” Evan captioned a selfie with
T.I.’s on-screen best friend which Jackie later reposted. Jackie also posted a
video of himself and Albert dancing and fooling
around on set.
Um, can you feel the excitement? Now excuse us while we look
for our “Nu Nu” nameplate necklace… because you know, we rock the new-new.
