Kanye West Drops a higher quality version of ALL DAY Feat Travis $cott
Kanye West's recent cover interview from GQ had the rapper talking about a new single called "All Day". Now, a rough version of the track has leaked. That's the attached single art, though its legitimacy hasn't been confirmed. Check it out above, via Revolt.
In the interview, he said that he viewed verses from the track as stand-ins for Jay Z lyrics.
Even lyrically, I think about certain lines that I say on my new single, which is called "All Day," that usually Jay would say, but Jay's not on there. So I say, All day, nigga, it's Ye, nigga. Shopping for the winter, it's just May, nigga. Ball so hard, man, this shit cray, nigga. You ain't getting money unless you got eight figures. Right? Jay would have said that.
Last year, Kanye was talking up his return to populist rap dominance, and a shitty leak of the early single “All Day” found Kanye in full strut mode. But this year, Kanye has released two Paul McCartney collabs, “Only One” and “FourFiveSeconds,” that show him in a much mellower, more contemplative place. He’s not even rapping anymore. So it seems like whatever rap albums he’s been working on — the one he rapped to Seth Rogen in that van, the one he moshed to in Paris at an impromptu listening party — might be on hold. In any case, a better-quality version of that “All Day” leak emerged last night, though it still basically sounds like trash. At least this time, you can get a better sense that you’re hearing what would be a very good rap song if it had a proper mastering job. Travi$ Scott shows up on this newer version, and you can hear it below.
